What distributors need that shops don’t
A retail shop bills many small sales to strangers. A distributor bills fewer, larger orders to the same few hundred retailers, on credit, at prices negotiated customer by customer. That changes what software has to do well: remember each party’s price, keep running balances honest, and handle the paperwork that travels with the goods.
Look for party-wise rates that fill in by themselves, payments that settle several invoices at once, an e-Way Bill made from the invoice rather than typed again, and roles that let a salesman take orders without seeing purchase prices. A week at a distributor
Monday: orders come in by phone; you make delivery challans and the goods leave the godown with e-Way Bills where needed. Tuesday: confirmed challans become invoices. Through the week: salesmen collect cheques and UPI payments and record them in the app; each retailer’s ledger updates on your computer within seconds. Saturday: the party-wise outstanding report tells you whom to call first next week.
Reports for the business and the CA
Sales by party, by item and by salesman, outstanding receivables with ageing, GSTR-1 with the B2B invoices and HSN summary, and stock by godown. Export them to Excel or PDF, or give your CA a view-only login on paid plans.

Can each salesman see only his own parties?
Roles control what each login can do, such as billing without seeing profit or purchase prices. Reports and ledgers can be filtered by staff member.
Can I bill in cartons and pieces?
Yes. Give an item a second unit with a conversion, and bill in either.
Does it handle schemes and discounts?
Line discounts in % or ₹, a bill-level discount and extra charges are all supported.
