Bill of materials
Raw materials and quantities for each product, wastage %, by-products or saleable scrap, and labour and overhead per batch, with the estimated cost per unit at today’s purchase prices.
Production entries
Pick the product and quantity; the materials fill in from the recipe, wastage included. Raw material goes out of stock, finished goods come in with their own batch, and the cost per unit can update the item’s purchase price.
Shortage warning
Each material shows what is in stock and how much you are short.
Job work
Send goods to a job worker on a delivery challan, receive them back with any waste, and see what is still pending with each job worker. Challans out for more than a year are flagged.
Reports and ITC-04
Production register, material consumption, finished goods with average cost, job work register and the ITC-04 table for any period, as CSV or print / PDF.

The Manufacturing module switches on by itself when your industry type is Manufacturing, and any business can turn it on in Business Settings → Industry modules. Does it work without a recipe?
Yes. Choose “Without BOM” and enter the materials you used.
Is stock right in the rest of the app?
Yes. Production and job work post normal stock movements, so item stock, stock value and reports include them.
How do I switch on the Manufacturing tools?
They come on by themselves when your industry type is Manufacturing. Otherwise open Business Settings → Industry modules and switch on Manufacturing. Industry modules are part of the Plus, Pro and Max plans, on the phone and in the web app.
