Privacy Policy
Your business information belongs to you. This policy explains what billinginfo collects, why we need it, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have.
Effective date: 1 November 2026
Information we collect
- Account details: your mobile number, your name and, when you use Google Sign-In, your email address.
- Business details: what you enter about your business, such as its name, GSTIN, PAN, address, bank and UPI details, logo and signature.
- Your records: invoices, purchases, items, stock, parties (customers and suppliers), payments, expenses, staff records and anything else you enter in the app or the web app.
- Device information: your device model and app version, and crash reports when the app fails, so we can fix problems.
- Contacts you choose: the app reads your phone contacts only when you tap “Import from contacts” and allow it. They are read on your phone and only the contacts you pick are saved as parties. We never upload your address book.
- Camera and photos: used only when you scan a barcode, photograph a bill, or add an item photo, logo or signature. The “find invoices in my gallery” helper reads photos on your phone only; that text never leaves the device.
How sign-in works
You sign in with a one-time code sent by SMS or with your Google account.
- SMS OTP: the code is sent and checked by Google Firebase Authentication, which receives your mobile number for that purpose.
- Google Sign-In: Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us when you choose it.
Each provider handles this information under its own privacy policy.
Service providers we use
We do not sell your personal or business data, and we do not use advertising or tracking tools on this website or in the app. We share information only with the providers needed to run a feature you use, and only what that feature needs:
- Cloud hosting: our servers store your account, backups and synced records.
- Google Firebase (SMS sign-in codes) and Google Sign-In.
- Razorpay: processes plan payments and the payment links you send customers. Card, UPI and bank details are entered with Razorpay and never stored by us.
- OpenAI: when you use AI bill scan, the photo or PDF of that bill is sent to OpenAI to read the items and totals. Only the bills you choose to scan are sent. Under OpenAI’s API terms, this data is not used to train their models.
- gstinapi.in: when you look up a GSTIN, the GSTIN is sent to fetch the registered name and address. When you generate an e-Way Bill, the invoice, party and transport details on it are sent through this provider to the government e-Way Bill system.
- Email delivery: when you email a report or invoice from the app, it goes through our email provider.
When you share an invoice, ledger or store link yourself, for example on WhatsApp through your phone’s share menu, you choose who receives it. That person and the app you use then handle what you sent.
Why we use your information
We use it to run the app, keep your business records, back them up, sync them across your devices and staff, generate GST documents you ask for, answer support requests and keep the service secure. If you leave details in the early-access form on this website, we use them only to contact you about billinginfo.
Storage and security
Your information is stored on secure cloud servers, and everything between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Records are backed up automatically. You can lock the app with your fingerprint or screen lock. No online service can promise perfect security, so protect your phone, your sign-in codes and your staff logins.
How long we keep information
We keep your account and records while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and its data, except records the law requires us to keep, such as GST records, which we keep only for the required period. Backup copies expire through the normal backup cycle.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see your information, correct it, or delete it. You can refuse the contacts or camera permission and type details in yourself. To delete your account, use the app or the Delete Account page, or email support@billinginfo.in. We may confirm that the account is yours before acting on a request.
Children
billinginfo is for business users aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes and contact
We will post changes here with a new effective date. For privacy questions or requests, email support@billinginfo.in.
