e-Invoicing:not available yet
We are honest about this one: billinginfo does not generate e-Invoices (IRN and signed QR) today. Here is who needs e-invoicing, what billinginfo already does for GST businesses, and how to tell us you need it.
What it does

GST invoices: available

GST reports: available

GSTIN autofill: available

Who must issue e-Invoices
e-Invoicing applies to registered businesses whose aggregate turnover in any financial year since 2017-18 has crossed ₹5 crore, for B2B invoices, exports and certain other documents. Such businesses must report each invoice to the Invoice Registration Portal and print the IRN and signed QR code on it. Businesses with turnover of ₹10 crore or more must report an invoice within 30 days of its date. Some sectors are exempt. Details and sources are in our e-Invoice applicability guide.
What this means for you
Most shops and small traders are below ₹5 crore and do not need e-invoicing at all; billinginfo covers their GST billing, e-Way Bills and returns data today. If your turnover is above ₹5 crore, you need e-invoicing now, and billinginfo cannot do it yet. You can use the free IRP portal alongside billinginfo, or a tool that supports it, until we switch it on.
Tell us if you need it
We have built e-invoicing and will switch it on when it is ready for everyone. If it would decide your choice, write to us and we will tell you when it is available. We will not ask you to pay for it before it works.
Get started
- Check whether your aggregate turnover has crossed ₹5 crore in any year since 2017-18.
- If not, use billinginfo for GST invoices, e-Way Bills and returns data today.
- If yes, keep using the government IRP for IRNs for now, and write to us to hear when e-invoicing is live.
Does billinginfo generate IRN?
No, not yet.
Will e-invoicing cost extra?
When it launches it will count towards the same monthly allowance as e-Way Bills: 40 a month on Pro and unlimited on Max (fair use), as shown on the pricing page.
Is an e-Invoice the same as an e-Way Bill?
No. An e-Invoice registers the invoice itself with the government portal; an e-Way Bill covers the movement of goods. A business may need both, one or neither.
